Children and Teens

These are the years to develop and strengthen the resilience of children and teenagers. Our programs provide young people with the tools they need to solve problems and cope with life’s challenges as well as help strengthen family relationships.

PreVenture (Grades 6-12)

PreVenture® is a prevention program for youth aged 12-18 that uses personality-focused interventions to promote mental health and reduce the risk of substance use.

The workshops are designed to help students learn useful coping skills, set long term goals, and channel their personality traits towards achieving them, so that they can thrive in all areas of their lives.

Program Length: 2 sessions @ 1.5 hours or 4 sessions @ 45 minutes

CHAT: Creating Healthy Attitudes in Teens (Grades 9-12)

CHAT is an interactive, reflective, and introspective program for teens who are experimenting with alcohol or other substances, or whose parents are concerned about potential use. The program includes an educational component for parents and caregivers as well as a session for teens.

Teens who attend the program will have an increased awareness of why they use, impact of their use, progression of addiction, and alternatives to using.

Parents who attend the program will have an increased awareness of teen substance use, level of risk, and how to have conversations with teens about drugs and alcohol.

Program Length: 2 hours
