Bergen County Higher Education Addiction Prevention Consortium
Lead by The Center for Alcohol and Drug Resources in partnership with Bergen County, NJ’s five postsecondary institutions the Bergen County Higher Education Addiction Prevention Consortium (BC HEAP) was established in 2024. The Consortium is a collaborative alliance of public and private institutions of higher learning designed to mitigate the initiation and escalation of substance misuse and its associated consequences among college students.
Consortium members include: Ramapo College, Bergen County Community College, Felician University, Fairleigh Dickinson University, and Eastwick College. Collectively, this initiative has the capacity to influence 27,334 students registered across the five institutions.
