Who qualifies for VITA?
Income less than $62,000 Bergen County Residents only, elderly/seniors, individuals with disabilities, and college students.
In 2017 Bergen Volunteers began free tax preparation services through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program for low-income individuals, seniors, and English Language learners. Over a lifetime, VITA has served over 550 individuals saving $96,000 in tax preparation services and totaling to $751,392 in refunds.

Among older adults, Falls are the leading cause of injury deaths, unintentional injuries and hospital admissions for trauma. Falls can take a serious toll on quality of life and independence.

A presentation on the research of historic African American Community in Paramus. Archaeological deposits contain thousands of artifacts that help to describe the everyday lives and activities of the Bennett household, who lived in the community from its founding in the 1830s until the 1910s.
